±«Óãtv to host Wind Symphony concert

The ±«Óãtv Department of Music will present the "Winds and Friends" concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in Pike Auditorium on the ±«Óãtv campus. The concert features the ±«Óãtv Wind Symphony conducted by Brian K. Hopwood and the Lebanon High School Wind Ensemble conducted by Aaron Stewart as guest ensemble

±«Óãtv Theatre to present "All My Sons"

The ±«Óãtv Theatre program continues its 2015-2016 season with "All My Sons" by Arthur Miller. The show will be presented at 7 p.m. Feb. 25-27 and March 3-5 in Davis-Newport Theater on the ±«Óãtv campus.

±«Óãtv debuts new art show, will host artist reception

±«Óãtv's sixth exhibition of the 2015-2016 academic year features artwork by local photographer Jessica King and Kansas-based painter Matthew Thonen. The exhibition debuts Monday, Feb. 22, and runs until Friday, March 18.

±«Óãtv to host faculty clarinet recital

±«Óãtv music faculty Regina Bruner, Melinda Smashey-Jones and Carol Harrison will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in Meyer Recital Hall in the Casebolt Music Center.

±«Óãtv to host recital, master class with pianist Dr. Marcelo Lian

The ±«Óãtv Department of Music will present a piano recital featuring Argentinean-born pianist Dr. Marcelo Lian at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, in Meyer Recital Hall on the ±«Óãtv campus. Lian will also present a master class at 10 a.m. that day in the same location. Both events are free and open to the public.

±«Óãtv hosts more than 500 youth at math contests

About 550 number-crunching students from Missouri and Kansas elementary and middle schools gathered at ±«Óãtv on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30 for math contests hosted by the ±«Óãtv Department of Mathematics. The 17th annual competition provided a positive educational experience and encouraged the enjoyment and study of mathematics.

±«Óãtv professor authors new book

Dr. Kelly Malone, associate professor of intercultural studies at ±«Óãtv, has authored "City Church: Working Together to Transform Cities," a new book about the church, outreach and evangelism in cities. Published by Urban Loft Publishers, "City Church" went on sale at Amazon on Friday, Jan. 29, with a Kindle edition to follow in the near future.

±«Óãtv to host annual Church Music Workshop Feb. 4-6

±«Óãtv's annual Church Music Workshop will be held Thursday, Feb. 4 through Saturday, Feb. 6. The event features speaker sessions, workshops, master classes and performances to help attendees learn more about church music and enhance their musical performance skills.
