The ±«Óătv Theatre program continues its 2015-2016 season with
âAll My Sonsâ by Arthur Miller. The show will be presented at 7 p.m. Feb. 25-27 and
March 3-5 in Davis-Newport Theater on the ±«Óătv campus.
Directed by instructor of theatre Jonathan Wehmeyer, âAll My Sonsâ is a classic American play focusing on life and loss during and immediately after World War II.
ââAll My Sonsâ is a very dramatic play with moving themes of loss, integrity and family,â Wehmeyer said. âWe are accentuating those serious themes through student Abby Munton's scene design, as well as a haunting sound design by students Jason Myers, Ryan Owens and Amelia Hicks."
The production also incorporates elements allowing the audience to interact with the play and discuss the work and its themes.
âThis production, which has the audience sitting on stage with the actors, will include a discussion session immediately following the play each evening, giving audiences the opportunity to talk about what they think about the themes with the actors, director, and set, light and sound designers,â Wehmeyer said.
The play portrays issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and suicide, so it may not be suitable for young audiences.
Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for ±«Óătv alumni, senior citizens, and other students, and $3 for ±«Óătv students and children up to 13 years old. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office inside the Jester Learning and Performance Center, over the phone at (417) 328-1691, or online at www.±«Óătvniv.edu/theatre.
