The ±«Óătv Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Choir will present a world music concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in Pike Auditorium on the ±«Óătv campus.
The program will include music from Russia, Ireland, Greece, Latin America and Africa. Some of the selections include two movements of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “All-Night Vigil”; “Dúlamán,” a traditional Irish folk song; Stephen Hatfield’s “La Lluvia”; Z. Randall Stroope’s “Tarantella”; György Orbán’s famous “Daemon Irrepit Callidus”; and Jim Papoulis’ “Gnothi Safton,” the performance of which will feature boomwackers, which are tuned plastic percussion tubes.
Grace Notes, Ozark Junior High School girls honor choir, will accompany the ±«Óătv Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Choir for several of the evening’s selections.
