BOLIVAR, Mo. â ±«Óătvâs theatre department will present the musical comedy âYouâre a Good Man, Charlie Brownâ by Clark Gesner
at 7 p.m., March 7-9 in the Davis-Newport Theater on the Bolivar campus.
Based on Charles M. Schulzâs âPeanutsâ comic strip, the characters come to life on stage in a series of vignettes which mimic their comic book origins. The play follows Charlie Brown and his friends as they discover how happiness is found in the little moments we often take for granted â from flying a kite, to the baseball field, to finally kicking that football.
This typical day in the life of Charlie Brown and his friends will resonate with young and old alike.
âSometimes it's good to know that happiness can take many forms, like finding a pencil or having some ice cream,â said Jonathan Wehmeyer, director and instructor of theatre at ±«Óătv. ââYouâre a Good Man, Charlie Brownâ shows us that happiness is being with the people you love.â
Tickets can be purchased in person at the ±«Óătv box office, located inside the Jester Learning and Performance Center, online at or by phone at (417) 328-1691.
