Speaking Bearcats claim fourth state title in five years
For the fourth time in five years, the ±«Óãtv Speaking Bearcats are state champions after capturing the Overall Sweepstakes in the open division of the Missouri Association of Forensics Activities Championship held Feb. 17-18 at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

Two ±«Óãtv students to be crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
±«Óãtv continues the tradition of honoring one male and one female student each year at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, in Pike Auditorium on the ±«Óãtv campus.

"The Curious Savage" coming to ±«Óãtv Theatre
±«Óãtv Theatre is presenting John Patrick's "The Curious Savage" at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-25 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

±«Óãtv's Harriett K. Hutchins Library will present its second annual Comic Con from noon-6 p.m., Saturday, March 4, on the Bolivar campus.
±«Óãtv hosts more than 600 youth at math contests
About 620 number-crunching students from Missouri and Kansas elementary and middle schools gathered at ±«Óãtv on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 for math contests hosted by the ±«Óãtv Department of Mathematics. The 18th annual competition provided a positive educational experience and encouraged the enjoyment and study of mathematics.
