±«Óãtv to host guest theatre speaker

The ±«Óãtv Theatre program will host guest speaker Dr. Henry Bial, director of the School of the Arts and associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas, at 7 p.m. Monday, April 25, in room 240 in the Jester Learning and Performance Center on the ±«Óãtv campus.

±«Óãtv to close campuses Wednesday afternoon in honor of Judy Taylor

In honor of Judy Taylor and her significant influence to the ±«Óãtv community, the university is closing at noon Wednesday, March 30, so that employees and students can attend Mrs. Taylor's celebration of life service. She is the wife of ±«Óãtv's President, Dr. C. Pat Taylor.

±«Óãtv's First Lady, Judy Taylor, passed away Saturday, March 26, in Bolivar, leaving a legacy of nearly two decades of service to the University.

±«Óãtv to host student competition art show

±«Óãtv will host the ±«Óãtv Student Show and Competition art exhibition Tuesday, March 29 through Friday, April 8. The show features pieces submitted by students across campus in mediums including drawing, painting, fibers, graphic art, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and photography.

Miller Management Systems establishes ±«Óãtv Accounting scholarship

Miller Management Systems, LLC (MMS) has established the MMS Excellence in Non-Profit Accounting and Leadership Scholarship to benefit top ±«Óãtv accounting students, starting with the 2016-2017 academic year.

±«Óãtv to hold three commencement ceremonies

±«Óãtv will graduate students at three commencement ceremonies this spring. The Bolivar campus will host two ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, including the undergraduate commencement at 10 a.m. and the graduate ceremony at 3 p.m. The Springfield campus (Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of ±«Óãtv) graduation ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12.

±«Óãtv to host Spring Opera Scenes

±«Óãtv Opera Theatre will host Spring Opera Scenes at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in Meyer Recital Hall of the Casebolt Music Center.

±«Óãtv hosts Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series lecture

±«Óãtv's Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series will feature Dr. Jordan Cofer at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in room 230 in the Jester Learning and Performing Center on the ±«Óãtv campus. His talk, entitled "The Gospel According to Flannery O'Connor," will be followed by a question and answer time.
