Speaking Bearcats bring home another tournament title
The ±«Óãtv Speaking Bearcats captured the overall sweepstakes award at the Scott Jensen Gorlok Gala Tournament on Jan. 26-28, hosted by Webster University in St. Louis.

Biblical Archaeology Exhibit coming to ±«Óãtv on Feb. 24
±«Óãtv will be hosting the biblical archaeology exhibit "Khirbet el-Maqatir - A Journey through Biblical History" beginning Saturday, Feb. 24. The exhibit will be on display through December in the Joyce Sells Heritage Center of the Jester Learning and Performance Center on the Bolivar campus and feature about 200 artifacts from ancient Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Syria.

±«Óãtv President C. Pat Taylor announces upcoming retirement
±«Óãtv President Dr. C. Pat Taylor informed the ±«Óãtv community today of his plans to retire Aug. 31, 2018, after nearly 22 years as the University's president.

±«Óãtv announces Spring 2018 Chapel schedule
±«Óãtv welcomes students, staff and the community to spring semester Chapel services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium beginning Wednesday, Jan. 24 through Wednesday, May 9. The focus for the spring semester is "Worship is More than a Song."

±«Óãtv's Dr. Tim DeClue, chair of the department of computer and information sciences, recently collaborated with Maranda Provance, director of engineering at Mostly Serious Software, on a paper that will be published this spring.

±«Óãtv-Mountain View hosting new student orientation Jan. 22-23
The ±«Óãtv-Mountain View campus will be hosting a new student orientation on Monday, Jan. 22 and Tuesday, Jan. 23 in the Myrtle Glass Building on the Mountain View campus.

Speaking Bearcats dominate in Fall season finale
The ±«Óãtv Speaking Bearcats finished the fall portion of their season with a dominating performance at the Cameron Christmas Classic on Dec. 1-2 at Cameron University in Lawton, Okla. The Speaking Bearcats finished first in overall sweepstakes, second in debate sweepstakes and first in individual events sweepstakes.

±«Óãtv's Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics, Ms. Alex Archer, instructor of mathematics, and Becca Altic, senior mathematics major from Pleasant Hope, recently presented at the Fall Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Columbia.
