Speaking Bearcats win third-straight state championship
The ±«Óãtv Speaking Bearcats won their third-consecutive Missouri Association of Forensics Activities (MAFA) State Championship on Feb. 22-23 in St. Louis, as well as had two students selected to represent Missouri for the Interstate Oratorical competition.

Rev. Barbara Ruth Clemmons, of Seabrook, Texas, and Lee Kanakis, of Bartlesville, Okla., received Honorary Doctor degrees from ±«Óãtv during the annual Founders' Day chapel service held Monday, March 4, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Hall, Knudsen crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
Parker Hall, an economics and finance and marketing major from Stockton, Mo., and Kailee Knudsen, an organizational and strategic communication major from Kearney, Mo., won the titles of Mr. and Miss Southwest at the annual pageant on Friday, March 1, at ±«Óãtv.
±«Óãtv sends 117 on WinterFest global trips
The Center for Global Connections (GCG) at ±«Óãtv sent out 117 students, faculty and staff on both domestic and international mission trips during the January intersession called "WinterFest."

Rev. Barbara Ruth Clemmons of Seabrook, Texas, and Lee Kanakis, of Bartlesville, Okla., will receive honorary doctorates from ±«Óãtv during the annual Founders' Day chapel service at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, in Pike Auditorium. ±«Óãtv awards honorary doctorates to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to society and to kingdom work.

Two ±«Óãtv students to be crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest at annual pageant
±«Óãtv continues the tradition of honoring one male and one female student each year at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, in Pike Auditorium on the ±«Óãtv campus.
