±«Óătv held a dedication ceremony for the Divine Servant Fountain
on Tuesday, October 18. The ceremony was hosted by the ±«Óătv Board of Trustees.
As a symbol of President Melson’s heart for ±«Óătv and the calling of the Lord for him to lead ±«Óătv with an attitude and representation of Christ’s servant leadership, the ±«Óătv Board of Trustees gifted to ±«Óătv the Divine Servant Sculpture by Max Greiner Jr. as a monument of President Rick Melson’s Inauguration.
“Max Greiner Jr. was the first artist to create a life-size, realistic sculpture of the composition,” said Dr. Eddie Bumper, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. “Today, Greiner’s “Divine Servant”® composition, based on John 13, is recognized around the world. It has come to symbolize Christian servanthood, which Jesus calls all His followers to embrace.”
The Board of trustees felt having both the “Divine Servant” and “the Great Commission” sculptures on ±«Óătv’s campus was the perfect representation of ±«Óătv’s mission and heart. Greiner is a professional artist and designer with experience in the broad fields of art, architecture, landscape architecture, advertising, public relations, writing, photography, graphic design, education, public speaking, and Christian evangelism. Greiner art is collected in all 50 states and more than two dozen countries.
The Divine Servant Fountain dedication was held during the ±«Óătv’s Board of Trustees meeting. See another story for more detail.
